Dear Manufacturer,Just as some people are sensitive to milk, which is considered a healthy food, others are sensitive to certain chemicals in their food. These are our members and your potential customers.
The Feingold Program eliminates synthetic color, synthetic flavor, BHA, BHT, and TBHQ. Some members are also sensitive to other additives, to salicylic acid, or to other salicylate compounds which may be added or may occur naturally in some products.
For our members, we prepare a Foodlist & Shopping Guide, Mail Order Guide and Supplement Guide full of products free of the above additives.
Before we list a product as acceptable in our Foodlist, we must obtain a completed inquiry form from the manufacturer, giving specific information about the ingredients in question. While much of the information we need is on the label, secondary ingredients can present a problem. Oil, vitamins, and other ingredients may contain antioxidants, etc. and labels are not required to note this. Unlisted synthetic color or flavoring can also be part of an ingredient you have purchased. For this reason, we must rely on information from you, as the label does not tell us all we need to know. Even a very small amount can affect our more sensitive members, so please inform us of even trace amounts.

Choose the Product Inquiry Form for all foods and other products which enter the mouth including toothpastes and mouthwash. Use the Non-Food Inquiry Form for other products including cosmetics, household cleaners, etc.
Fill out the form, sign it and return to us even if you are marking "yes" to some of the ingredients. Not all of our members react to everything on the questionnaire. Some ingredients are simply noted for the more sensitive members, but the product can still be listed in our Foodlist.
Please fill out and submit a form for each product, flavor, or variety which you believe would be suitable for our use.
