Thank you for all your research. It was worth the journey toward this healthy program of eating, I grew up with it, and rarely eat processed foods; but it opened by eyes to other foods that I didn't consider processed such as cold cuts (and many many other food stuffs) which are loaded with preservatives. So my daughter and I are healthy eaters. My partner, that's another story. She'll never give up her Dr. Pepper or those horrid "food" dyes. So, although it's a never ending battle in our household, she did, however, see our "sweet" Sally move into tantrums an hour after she gave her a "blue" ice-cream cone. When she gave it to her, she told me that I was "obsessive" and that I'm being too "restrictive" with our daughter. It was 10:30 pm when we finally got kicking/screaming/tantrum-like Sally down to sleep. That afternoon/evening was awful! The good that came out of that experience were the words I heard from my partner at 11 pm that night, "....no more color dyes.... I got it... no more..."
Be well...
