Dear Shula,
I appreciated your reply to my email concerning the nystatin. I did stop
giving the medication to my son because he had a seizure while on the
medication. We have had very good success with the Feingold diet in our
efforts to control our son's epilepsy. In fact, it is the only thing that
works to control his seizures. He has complex parital seizures that are
unresponsive to medication. The Feingold diet has been a god send.
My
son
is 13 and is cooperative with the diet. He definitely knows the
consequences on not following it.
Our physician has written a new
prescription for Gris-Peg which is listed in the Feingold materials as an
accepted anti fungal drug. I have not given my son the medication to
date
but will probably try it soon. My son has had reactions, seizures, to
anti-mildew products in plastic patio furniture and in caulk. That is why I am
leary to try this new drug. I spoke with physician last night. We are
going to give one pill and watch. If no reaction in a few days, will give
another, etc.
Thanks again for your help.
