Holiday time isn’t the same without the slice of pumpkin pie for dessert!!  We even heard it sung about in our favorite “carols”.  

This pie takes all the guesswork out of how to make your own.  

So turn up that radio, and “pass the pumpkin pie”!!!!


Best Pumpkin Pie


1                                           9-inch single pie crust

1 15-ounce can                  pumpkin puree

1 c.                                      dark brown sugar     

1/2 tsp.                              salt

2 tsp.                                 ground cinnamon

1 tsp.                                ground ginger

2 T.                                    molasses

3                                        eggs, beaten

1 c.                                     evaporated milk


1) Preheat oven to 425°.  Mix together pumpkin, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and molasses. Blend in eggs and evaporated milk.   Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.  Bake for 40 minutes, or until set.
