Bunny Rolls

2 tablespoons butter
1 cup (8 ounces) water
1/4 cup sour cream
2-1/2 to 3 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg

Directions:
1) Combine water and sour cream in a small saucepan
and heat, but do not cook. Cool to tepid and place in mixer
bowl; add remaining ingredients and mix. You can use a
kneading tool with your table top mixer or knead the dough by
hand. If dough is too dry, add water. Knead until dough forms
a nice smooth ball.

2) Cover and place in warm area; let it rise until doubled
(about 1 to 1-1/2 hours; cut into 16 equal parts and form egg
shaped balls.

3) Place balls on a pan lined with parchment or a silicone
baking mat; cut the ears with kitchen shears. When the dough
is still soft, make sure you smooth the edges around, so you
do not end up with gremlin shaped horns.

4) The holes for the eyes can be made with peppercorns or a
similar object. Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes or until
golden brown.
