Make these delicious clover rolls for your Holiday feast!!
They are easy to make and can easily be made ahead of time and popped into the oven to warm up for a few minutes before serving.
No holiday meal is complete without warm buttered rolls. I think you will agree after you try them, that they are just as worthy to accompany a quick weeknight meal or breakfast with some jam.
Clover Leaf Yeast Rolls
1 cup milk
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
1 cup warm water
1 package yeast
2 eggs
5 to 6 cups flour
Preheat oven to 375°
1) Scald milk; add salt, sugar, shortening or butter. Let cool to lukewarm.
2) Combine and mix all together; beat until smooth.
3) Place on floured surface and knead for approximately 8 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place for approximately 2 hours or until double in size. Punch down.
4) Roll dough into walnut-sized balls. Place three balls inside of each greased cup in a muffin tin. Cover and let rise until double. Bake at 375° for 15 to 25 minutes or until a deep golden brown.
