Maple Oat Nut Scones

1cup                             oats
1-1/4cup                      flour
2 tablespoons            sugar
1/2 teaspoon              salt
1 tablespoon              baking powder
3 tablespoons            maple syrup
2-1/2 tablespoons     butter-cold and cut up

1                                    egg
1/2 cup                         half and half
1/2 teaspoon              vanilla
2/3 cup                        chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 425. Lightly grease a baking sheet. Pulse oats, flour, salt, and powder in food processor. Add syrup and butter and pulse again to blend. Beat egg, cream, extract and add to dry ingredients.
Pulse briefly. Knead pecans in. Pat in circle, cut into 8 wedges. Bake 13-15.
